    “Nahum” is a biblical name; he was a minor prophet, and has a book named after him. It’s pronounced a few different ways depending on who you ask, usually “nay-hum”, “nay-um”, nor “nay-hoom”.

    The latter is closer to the hebrew pronunciation (as I understand it), where the ‘h’ is the that glottal-ch sound you get in german and hebrew but not in english.
