If March is for Dracula, then you should consider the new Mythgard Academy course where Corey Olsen (The Tolkien Professor) will go through one of his favorite books:

In discussing Carmilla’s influence on Stoker, don’t forget LeFanu’s being influenced by Christabel by Samuel Taylor Coleridge!

You guys should watch the webseries! It was adapted into a three-(or 4?)-part webseries on YouTube set in the present day (still in Austria, but this time in a Miskatonic-esque university), plus a movie! Shame I can’t listen here yet, I don’t have the subscription …

P.S. It’d be funny if you got as your reader Elise Bauman, who plays Laura on the show. I’ve been wondering when the webseries cast would do an audiobook of the novella myself.

you guys can start with the first season here (if it’s not already discussed in the podcast):

A Canadian web studio adapted this into a webseries in 3 (or 4?) seasons that’s free on YouTube, plus a movie. It’s still set in Austria, but in the present day, in a very Miskatonic-esque university setting. (Maybe you guys already talked about it here, but I’m not a subscriber, so …)

P.S. It’d be funny though if you actually got as your reader Elise Bauman, who plays Laura on the show (in fact, it’s meant to be her vlog) … I sometimes hope for an audiobook of the original novella, with the cast themselves voicing their respective book roles.

Here’s all the content related to the webseries for a start:

A Canadian web studio adapted this as a webseries in 3 (or 4?) seasons free on YouTube, plus a movie. It’s modernised, still set in Austria but now in a Miskatonic-esque university setting. Maybe you guys have seen or discussed it already in fact, but I’m not a subscriber, so I can’t tell.

P.S. It’d be funny if you actually got as your reader for this Elise Bauman, who plays Laura on the show (it’s meant to be her vlog) … in fact I sometimes hope for the show cast to reprise their respective roles in an audiobook version of the original novella.
