There's been a few pieces I've been meaning to write, but just can't find the creative energy to do it. My biggest wanna-be project is a left-wing response to Atlas Shrugged, where, after all the capitalists disappeared, instead of the world collapsing, the 99% of humanity took over the means of production and created a democratic anarchist-communist society. Here's a sample:
-------------
Prometheus Unchained
Chapter One: News from Nowhere
“Who is John Galt?”
“Who cares!” the rapturous crowed cheered. Emma could hear the festivities a block away from Saccos' Bar. Her dogs barked rabidly.
-----------------------
I also have some non-fiction work I've been dreaming up, in particular a article about left-wing Catholic trade unionists and the relationship between left-wing political resistance and the sporting world.

You all have to go here: http://ca.ign.com/articles/2012/07/07/slender-is-pure-horror and download this free game called SLENDER. "Based on the Slender Man mythology popularized through a Something Awful thread, and further spread through forum chatter, YouTube videos and even Minecraft, the game’s tall, unrelenting creature pursues you through the inky black of a fenced-in forest. Slender doesn’t bother telling you why you’re there or if it’s possible to escape. You’re given a standard video game goal – find eight pages – but the terror unlocked by discovering and collecting the pages obliterates the task’s comforting familiarity." I've played it. We got up to 6 pages before....

Nice article. I'm a little perturbed at Scott's opinions on the ancient astronaut theory, though. It seems fueled by the notion of trying to fill an uncomfortable vacuum. Just because the earth was devoid of humanity for billions of years doesn't mean there MUST have been someone else here before hand. He seems to completely ignore the successful dinosaur occupation of many hundreds of millions of years, for instance Yeah, the Hollywood-types love that ancient astronaut stuff. Of course HPL seemed to love it too - at least as a plausible possibility. But if you take it subtle, you can get a nice Battle Star Galactica thing going on. If you go to far, you end up creating a new religion. Wasn't Battle Star Galactica about Mormonism?
