Plus it means >>I<< get that lovely rant at the end, and that is all the motivation I need.....
Yes! This is one of the frustrating things about being a Shakespeare-lover and female--nearly all the really good roles belong to the guys, unless you're willing to do cross-gender casting.
Honestly, I'm a bit intrigued by the idea of a female Nyarlathotep; after all, it does say that zie takes many forms...

One of my core group actresses, Beverly Poolle, has made a point of playing as many cross-gendered Shakespeare roles as she can get her hands on, including Malvolio and Mercutio - NOT as a female portraying a male, but as a female character.
she refuses to be put in a box.

Do we need to start calling her Asaneth?

Cryptic reply there, JulieH. I will make every effort NOT to understand it.

Mainly that he would be WAY too lazy to get off his butt for an Eldritch ritual to steal a body.

Hehehe, if only Old Ephram would have been lazier, this whole thing could have been avoided and poor Edward would have had a few years of good naughtiness before his wife mutated into a fish monster instead of finding out that he was having "relations" with his father-in-law in his wife's body. You know, writing that sentence makes me want to wash myself in bleach...
