I'm going to rename you "Julie Dime-Bag" if you keep this up. Wink

Does it help if I mention that episode 2 has a nice cameo from HPP's own Chris Lackey?  And Chad Fifer shows up in 3 and 4?

There is false advertising at the end of episode 2: some young man comes on to pitch HPPodcraft but claims it is a weekly podcast. It comes out once every 3-5 weeks, as far as I can remember.

Heh. When I first read that, I didn't realize we were talking about 19 Nocturne, and thought you were taking a jab at the various delays that happen on this site.

I had to use an old promo!
I just grabbed what i had....
LOL
Ah well, anyone unfamiliar with the show will have 70-odd episodes to get through before they realize the erratic nature, and by then they'll likely be hooked anyway...

No, Genus, nothing but praise for you Smiley

70-odd podcrafts, that's pure madness! By the time they get through they won't know what week it is anyway. And then there's always time dilation, which strikes when least expected. Sixty years from now no one will know whether it was a UFO or Japanese fugo balloons. Oops, wait, I mixed some plots up. Lackey and Fifer won't believe how young they sounded, Julie will be set up in her Hollywood mansion after a long and distinguished filmmaking career, Genus will have two PhDs under his belt and the 'podcraft will come into brief retro-vogue again in the re-established new and improved USSR.

Back to my Dunwich - not only does this episode feature Wizard's voice, but it also gives a first glimpse of Lavinia....

So, did you use an albino voice actress for verisimilitude?

I've already been several old women, children, a U-boat officer, a couple of thugs and monsters, and a woman disguised as a man - an albino is a short leap after all that.

I heard manly Julie in there, I'm proud to say.

Genus:-- I was taking a dig at the podcraft, it hasn't been "weekly" in a long time Smiley

Possibly interesting:

THE
DUNWICH HORROR
AND OTHER
Weird Tales
By H. P. Lovecraft

Christmas edition for the Armed Forces. Distributed by the Special Services Division, ASF, for the Army, and by the Bureau of Naval Personnel for the Navy. U. S. Government property. Not for sale. Published by Editions for the Armed Services, Inc., a non-profit organization established by the Council on Books in Wartime.

SELECTED SHORT STORIES

THE DUNWICH HORROR AND OTHER WEIRD TALES By H. P. Lovecraft

AMONG WRITERS in the tradition of Edgar Allan Poe, few have achieved the heights of the macabre reached by Howard Phillips Lovecraft. Unique in the field, Lovecraft is the one American author of our time whose work challenges comparison with the best in the field from England--that of Arthur Machen, Algernon Blackwood and M. R. James. His creation of the utterly unique mythology of Cthulhu was a brilliantly conceived departure from the conventional in supernatural fiction. Many of his stories--notably "The Rats in the Walls," "The Dunwich Horror," "The Music of Eric Zann," and "The Thing on the Doorstep"--have become staple fare for anthologies in the genre.

H. P. Lovecraft (1890-1937) was a New England writer, the majority of whose supernatural stories appeared in Weird Tales magazine from 1926 to 1937. He was the author of The Outsider and Others and Beyond the Wall of Sleep, two omnibus collections both now out of print, of Marginalia, and, in collaboration with August Derleth, a novel, The Lurker at the Threshold.

This special edition of THE DUNWICH HORROR AND OTHER WEIRD TALES by H. P. Lovecraft has been made available to the Armed Forces of the United States through an agreement with the original publisher, Arkham House, Sauk City.
