It's the most wonderful time of the year: Hallowe'en is right around the corner! Hooray and iä!

The question is, which Lovecraft story (or stories) is most suited for seasonal reading?

These are the ones that fit a general Halloween theme in my opinion:

Picture In The House
Terrible Old Man
Cats Of Ulthar
The Tomb
The Music Of Eric Zahn
The Outsider
Re-Aminator
Cool Air

The Unnameable, definitely. Dreams in the Witch House is a good one too.

For me, it depends on where I live. I used to live in a very rural environment (in Vermont) and I would have found The Picture in the House the most creepy and unsettling story for me, during this time of year. I now live in a very urban environment so I would lean towards Pickman's Model, I live near an underground subway tunnel and a small old cemetery, so that story really freaks me out! Although Herbert West – Reanimator is a good all around Halloween tale with a Dr. Frankenstein mad scientist and his collection of zombies.
