Also, I kind of admire the Vagina!Cthulhu Vaginal dentada? Anyway, you may have a point about the whole octopus = Cthulhu thing. That has been getting much more popular with the Big C getting his fair share of pop culture exposure. Bob

I'm getting "I switched bodies with a Yith and all I got was this lousy Tattoo" on my back.
I wish I can find a picture, but I saw someone had a "tribal" style tattoo down their arm, but the shape was Cthulhu.

Why, thank you Bob and Ruth. Here's one I started on a few hours ago. I still got about ten hours ago but it's looking mighty fine!

Very sexy tats. They both really suit you. I'd like to get one, but I don't think I could do an all over back thing.

The arm and the Elder sign are on my body. The back is just something I grabbed from ugliesttattoos.com . It's not really ugly, thou, but I think it's a bit too much.

Yeah the back tattoo might be too much. (Not that some people couldn't pull it off...) I love to trace designs with the tips of my fingers, it's such a tactile, sensual thrill to trace a line connecting on living skin. I've always wanted to get an entire poem tattoo in one long line over my body, but never could find the right poem (or poet for that matter). Glad you chose the classic elder sign. H.P. would be pleased to see his artwork living on. It reminds me of a guy I used to date who had a cross on the right side of his neck, "to ward off vampires". I used to leave hickies on either side which drove him crazy.

Maybe the next guy you date will get an entire elder sign tattooed onto him using only hickies. It might take a while, but what the hell, right? Bob

"Maybe the next guy you date will get an entire elder sign tattooed onto him using only hickies. It might take a while, but what the hell, right? Bob" Well, I certainly wouldn't mind ...Anything for Art... especially if it had to be repeated to ensure protection from Mythos Creatures (other than myself, of course)! All kidding aside, I really am impressed with people who get tats, I've always want to get one, just could never decide on what.

I'm just too much of a wimp. I just turned 39, so I'm sure the midlife crisis is right around the corner, so maybe I'll get one soon. But I'll probably just wimp out again. Bob

Nah, you aren't a wimp. (Let's face it-fear of altering your body is something HPL would probably have understood) ). I've been debating getting a tat since I was teen, mostly superhero ones or during my (brief) religious phase a christian one. I debated a memorial one after my best friend died a few years ago. But I have many family members who should be remembered, too. I just couldn't quite decide what message should be imortalized on my skin. So I teeter back and forth.... But I never have met anyone who regretted getting one, and I've talked to lots of people with them as I try to rationalize my fear. And who wants a boring mid-life crisis? Tats are cheaper than shiny sportscars.

Hey, it's better than having the Salrac Pit. Can anyone say "giant space vagina"? I knew that you could.
Bob
I like the Lovecraft elder sign a lot more than the Derleth one, but I've been thinking of getting tattoos of both just to be safe. I don't think I would ever get words, though. A friend of mine got the lyrics to a Tupac song on his shoulder, with this major subject/verb disagreement that definitely wasn't on purpose and that makes me laugh really hard in his face every time I see it. I don't want to be that guy.
