Walken's dry, almost uber-sensible delivery would be a very interesting change from the typical ranting madman that Tillinghast is portrayed as.  That creepy wink, coming at the tail end of a statement about how the servants were taken...  nice.

Wow, I totally see it!  

How bout Walter Goggins as Wilbur Whately?  He does the creepy, charismatic redneck really well. Margo Martindale did a really good turn on the sinister back-woods resident as well in Justified, she'd be the perfect Whately if Wilbur had been Wilma.
