Perhaps its just me but is there ANY way to make the text box bigger for posting messages and responses?  When I get to the bottom the text on my screen stops scrolling down and just "bounces" as I type, but I can no longer directly read what I am typing.  I've not had this happen on a forum before.

Tips?

That would be Manndroid's department, though I haven't seen him around lately. I'll shoot him a message on Twitter or something.

Hi there! Sorry you're having trouble! (And thanks, GU, for bringing this to my attention.)

Unfortunately, I can't re-create the problem, myself; seems to work fine for me, so this sounds like a browser issue. What browser (and version) are you using to view the site? Is it a computer, or a mobile device? If it's the former, have you tried deleting cookies?

Will try to help solve this for you!

It's Internet Explorer.  And I confess it's on my - ahem - work computer.  Works fine on my iPad at home.  But just so long as it's just me, it's cool.  I'll live!  Our machines are pretty well junk on the best days...

Aha. Well, though I know there's compatibility with Internet Explorer, your employer could be running an earlier version, or riddling it with plug-ins (or limiting them altogether), to make it secure. Said plug-ins could be limiting java or other scripts, and in turn, goofing with the forums. Glad it's not your home rig!

You probably need to enable text-scrolling or something equally ridiculous in the endless Internet Explorer properties/preferences section. Easy work-around: compose replies in Notepad and copy/paste to text box.

I have the same problem on my IE8 work computer too.  I haven't noticed it on my Mozilla Firefox computer at home, but that means I haven't notice it positively or negatively.

x I'm trying this deep in the text box. Because I do know that it did the bouncing thing before I got a new computer (both have IE8).  This new computer and my home computer both have Windows 7.  I wonder if that's the problem, because it seems to work fine now.
