Just thought I'd share my latest blog entry which is to do with images and artwork of the Mythos and I'd like to see any favourite pics that people know of that aren't on my list!

Nice collection! That first sculpture and the drawing before it are easily my favorite artistic depictions of Cthulhu (I'm a DA peruser so I've come across them before). Those are how I see its big ol' nasty self when I read the stories.

I like this picture too, and not because it's particularly fancy, but because it really gives you a sense of "Holy crap that thing IS the mountain!" I like to think that something like this is what Danforth could have glimpsed out the plane's window.

And for anyone else who wants to see tons more quality Lovecraft inspired art, just go to Deviant Art and type in "Lovecraft" in the search field. Posting depictions of his creations has really become popular in the last 6 months. Perhaps this podcast has something to do with it!

Just letting you know I posted a link to your site on Twitter with the hashtag #Lovecraft, so if you notice some through-traffic from there, you'll know who to blame :-)

wow dudes! thanks so much! I'm pumped you all like it! I've been working on some new ones too mostly inspired by the Podcast. Seems I skipped the Horror at Martin's Beach monster and the hideous white apes from Arthur Jermyn.

There's also the Haunter of the Dark with its "three-lobed burning eye"

When I did these originally I had all the "creatures" at 4x6, the lesser gods (Yig, Ghatanothoa, etc) at 8x10 and the big boys (Cthulhu, Yog Sothoth) at 18x24 and i planned on doing a HUGEEEE Azathoth but time didn't permit. Im thinking about doing more of the guys I missed (and some from the Derleth/Lovecraft "collaborations") for a show im doing in Oct.

so far I know I've missed The Horror At Martin's Beach, Azathoth, and Nyarlathotep. I was also thinking of including the white polypous thing in the Louisiana swamps from Call Of Cthulhu. Any more suggestions?

I think you should make Yog-Sothoth and Shub-Niggurath just as le HUGE as Azathoth being that they're Outer Gods as well.

Oo, the white polypous thing would be really cool.  It's the great overlooked Lovecraft monster.

Just thought I'd add to this discussion by saying that I've recently started sculpting the Haunter of the Dark (aka the three-lobed burning eye) and you can follow my progress in my blog! Cool
