That's pretty much it.  I like the 1980's B-movie versions, and definitely a fan of HPLHS work, but that's where it should end.  20 years ago, I would stay up all night discussing how great it would be to have comic book movies beyond Batman and Superman. Now, it's just too much.  The same goes for GoT.  I still vastly prefer the books (I could easily not finish watching the series).  I don't know of any HPL movies in the pipeline, but I was happy that Del Toro's At the Mountains of Madness was essentially DOA (especially after Crimson Peak. That movie suck-diddly-ucked).  Maybe I'm just old and cranky.

I don't mind it, maybe its because I haven't paid to see an non kids movie in 8 years thanks to my kids. I wouldn't mind one HPL inspired movie a year as long as whoever directed the Tranformers/Ninja Turtles movies was banned from ever directing anything ever ever ever again.

I'd like a big budget film as long as they spent the budget on the right things and not just gratuitous VFX.
