My biggest worry is that once the series is done it will still be available. I might suggest that once completed the whole series get's bundled up into a purchasable download. I get a lot of play value out of the shows and expect to do so for some time. It'll be see to see it come to an end, but as they say, all good things come to an end. And you always want to leave them wanting more Smiley

I like that idea. Is it the sort of thing one could sell on the iTunes store as well, or is that too much work?

Great Audiobook: The Best of the HPLLP. I could imagine it being a lot of fun to listen to a collection of all the best moments, readings, insights, quips, etc. I would totally buy it, and it would be a great thing to share with others, and get them to explore the episode archive.

That's a really good idea.

A great idea. Fifer and I are working on different options to make them available. Something like a 'best of' but with a bit of addendum audio that would be exclusive to the audio book/app/CDs/thing. Of course, still continuing with a free show that is Lovecraftian.

That's awesome to hear Chris! You and Chad have done such a wonderful service with the podcast and it would be cool to see a compendium of some sort as a final ribbon and bow on the whole thing. It's definitely worth it.

A compilation of the show for sale would be a great idea, as long as it's not too expensive.  I dunno how many people here are rolling in the dough to such an extent, but I know I'm not.  I wouldn't want something so cool to sit there outside my price range, mocking me.

Also, sell it in places other than iTunes.  Or, rather, other places as well as iTunes.  There is such thing as people who don't own iPods, scary but true.  [insert rant about proprietary software and bla bla fhtagn]

Also, also, please don't do anything like making certain episodes 'for subscribers only,' it'll only alienate the broke folks in the audience.

Also, also, also, do forgive my rambling, please.  And my overuse of 'also.'

We don't want to price anybody out! And it's nothing you'll need... it will just be fun extras. So if you're the kinda person who has extra money lying around, you might think to throw a bit our way. That's it really. Most of all of the episodes are still available and free!

It would be cool to dedicate a show to explore some of the best forum topics.

That might be kind of neat. It would be kind of Lovecraftian, what with Chris and Chad creating the podcraft, then allowing other strange, and interesting people to contribute and add to their work. How apropos.

What about a short documentary, The Lurker Behind the Scenes: The Making of the HPPodcraft, Part I? Leman cursing as his skype gives up the ghost, Henneth Kite sleeping in when he's supposed to be sending stuff in, Mike the Versatile Server Man fending off false-flag DDOS attacks after certain IPs are misreported as belonging to Corporation X, the women behind the boys, Sich and Chard at work in the studio(s) trying to install and reinstall broken mixer software, the "intern" revealed in a bikini sitting on a chaise lounge sipping a margarita on Queensland's Gold Coast while "earning credit" and winking at Crocodile Dundee-type Alpha Males (and this section must include a lengthy expose on the art of applying suntan lotion "down under"), then the commercial assaults of amazon.com and merchandizers of all stripes literally breaking down Sich and Chard's various doors, the media circus of Rolling Stone, the New Yorker, the New York Review of Books and Podcasts, CNN and BBC all demanding interviews, only to be told politely to check the twitter account.

No, seriously, the compendium CD/DVD is a good idea. I'm sure someone is already torrenting all the podcrafts as a bundle, though, so that added-value item is a must.

Oh, yeah! Doing a forum inspired episode sounds like a great idea! There is so much cool wackiness that goes on in here, it would be fun to share it with all the listeners!

Sounds like TransconaSlim just set up the next big show. Way to go, Slim!
