Howdy.

Well, better late than never, i guess. I've been listening to the podcast for three months now, and only got around to signing up to the forums, just as the podcast is approaching the last of Lovecraft's works. Still, he went out with a bang, and his last were his best. Looking forward to listening.  Cheesy

Hi Everyone,

Not quite sure why it has taken me so long to get onto the forums but finally made it at last so better late then never  Cheesy.

My names Steven, I live in Scotland and work as a Civil Enginerr (and budding author) I have been a huge fan of the Podcasts since their very early days. It is one of the few things that has kept me (in)sane on those dull commuter drives into Glasgow and I usually just cycle through then re-listen to the majority of the episodes. I have been a fan of Lovecraft since my first introduction (thanks to Chaosium) to his work in the Call of Cthulhu Roleplaying Game. After that it was onto the novels to get a better understanding of this unique and individual genre that he had created, commencing with At the Mountains of Madness. I loved it and since then have never looked back.

Even now in this technical and digital wireless age (we will all find out one day that wi-fi is a brain sucking contraption devised by the great race of Yith in energy form no doubt !!  Grin) I usually indulge my passion via the medium of audio books to further while away the many hours spent in travel during my working day.

Chad, Chris and the narrators have crafted a perfect blend of information, comedy, tidbits and general enthusiasm which I find both fascinating and refreshing. We all know that HPL was not just a man of intense imagination but also a visionary who helped spawn many of todays great writers in the horror and sci-fi genre and the guys all help to draw his works toward new and unwitting subjects, err i mean fans.

Long may this podcast continue.

Hello all.  I've been a Lovecraft enthusiast since kidhood and for the last few years have been collecting audiobooks of his stories.  Everything else, well, isn't terribly interesting.

Hi, I'm Dave, and I live in Red Hook, Brooklyn. It's not nearly as Horrible as it was when HPL lived downtown. I'm way into Lovecraft and stoner/doom type heavy metal. I work as a stone mason, building rich folks bathrooms and kitchens in Manhattan. I listen to the podcast at work on headphones whenever i can get away with it.

Started frequenting the forums a few months ago, but never introduced myself.

I'm Adam; I live in DC and have had a bitch of a commute for three years now. Podcasts, and podcasted fiction, have helped preserve my meager sanity during those many hours on the road, and a little less than a year ago a podcast novelist that I follow and respect recommended the HPLLP.

This podcast has been perfect for me; I'd wanted to read Lovecraft for a while, especially since there's so much of his stuff available for free online. But I had no idea where to start. HPLLP gave me an order to read the stories in, a lot of help understanding some of the tougher ones, and, of course, hours of entertainment from Chris and Chad. Really grateful to everyone who made this possible.

Howdy folks - I'm a geologist at a large Midwestern University, big-time Lovecraft fan since college.  I've been enjoying the podcast for a while now, and now that they've started doing "At The Mountains of Madness" (one of my favorites!) I reckoned I better sign up and show my support!

Learned about your Podcast months ago - but only started to listen to it when I was back home in Indiana. I laughed so hard when I heard about the "Love Dead"/Indiana connection - sure sounds like the Indiana I grew up in.  Originally, I started reading Lovecraft IN Indiana in the 60s.  My father's library had a book of selected short stories (it may have been an anthology edited by Hitchcock) that contained "The Rats in the Walls".  I think that story deeply disturbed my father because the last few pages of that story had been torn out of the book when I got to it.  It was a few years before I actually found out what happened in the end of that story - and other Lovecraftian works.

Have enjoyed the podcast so far - only up to "Charles Dexter Ward" right now - and listened to it all during my drive back to the east coast.  I wonder if listening to your podcast for long uninterrupted hours can change a person..........

Hey GS, welcome!

Charles Dexter Ward is one of my favorites; but keep it up! I was at that point maybe a month, month and a half ago, and after some "sprinting" have managed to catch up to the current episode.

Hello, not too much to say.  I enjoy the Podcast and Weird Fiction in general.

I have a colletion of old Arkham House books and an even bigger collection of Call of Cthulhu RPG (and recently, Card Game) merchandise.

There has to be a horror story in that. Also, welcome all new people! Smiley

Hello, everyone!

I'm Spanish (I live in the dry, hot South), I'm an English teacher and I really enjoy everything lovecraftian. I've been reading Lovecraft since I was a tender kid, and I hope I can be useful here... and that you can solve some of my doubts, too.
