Hi, I've been a big Lovecraft fan for a number of years now, read almost all his stories (including collaborations) and have really enjoyed the podcasts.

Hi, I'm Carlos
I been listening to the podcast for sometime now. I knew of Lovecraft but did not know much if at all about him. But with the podcast I've learn a lot and have read u on few of his stories, even looking at other stuff that he may have influenced, like the Marvel cosmic stuff and Dr Strange.

I am into comics, scifi, fantasy, TV, and plus I tend to like movies others seem to hate, I own all Transformers movies and I love them. So yeah, that what is be, yo.

Greetings - I have been an avid Lovecraft fan since I was a teenager & twenty years down the line I'm still hooked - found out about the podcast via the HPLHS - kudos to them for their adaptations!  Loving the podcast also, especially because of the factor central to Lovecraft's work that he never deliberately included - humour.

Hello all.   Thank you for this very interesting Forum. I have been a fan of Lovecraft for a long time and recently have become very interested in art that has been inspired by his writing.  Howard Phillips brings such different images to mind it makes me interested in seeing how others visualize what he writes about.

Greetings all:

I'm a 53 year old cargo airline pilot living in the Chicago area. Been an SF fan since a little kid. Feel like I've done several Yithian mind swaps as I seem to find and lose HPL over and over...

My earliest recollection of the 'mythos' is buying a paperback titled "Miskatonic University" back in the early '90s? I must have come across HPL before that but can't remember. I've been 'Cthulhu Crazy' for the last five years. Don't really know why. Perhaps the stars are right... Drives my wife crazy.

I've got two young children and I'm raising them right! Example: at dinner the other night my six year old son says: "Dad, who would win the following battle? Yithians, Starfish-headed vegetable carnivores (Elder Things) or the Martians from "The War of the Worlds" (1953 movie version)? I told him that I thought the Yithians would win as they had a form of time travel and could alter future events by traveling to the past. Warning: Paradox!

Anyway, this podcast has been excellent at feeding my obsession. I look forward to learning all about the things that influenced Lovecraft's writings with the newest installments!

Regards,
Young Danforth

Hi,

I'm Chris, I live in a sleepy Forest in south-west England wherein many of the inhabitants could easily be from Innsmouth itself...
I've been a fan of Lovecrafts ever since first stumbling across "The Music of Erich Zann" in an old ghost story anthology in my early teens and being blown away by the sheer menace the unknown could instill.

I'm actually here after now having signed up to the premium Podcast. I've been listening for about a year or so, and loving it, but made the decision early on to read each story before hearing the critique of it. This has been a slow process, and am actually only on around episode #58, and at the end of each episode, have heard the plea for donations to keep the cast running, and made the mental note to donate.
I don't have a very good memory...
So imagine my shock when I read this months Bizarre magazine!!! they've finished, run out of stories, and I never gave them a penny for the hours and hours of enjoyment they gave me!!

So, in some sort of penance, I've subscribed, and am paying my $6.66 (which annoyingly will probably come up around £4.53 in my bank statement...). I will also be stepping up my game in listening to this fine Podcast, especially as I can now plough through more stories now I've finished A Song of Ice and Fire...

Apologies for the long message...

Well Hello to all, I'm Samuel and as you can tell new to the forum. I've been reading Mr. Lovecraft's work for about a decade now, and love it just as much now as when I read the first story I came across in the 9th grade {The Book...a fragment}. For my birthday this year, witch was just a few days ago, my girlfriend  bought me a membership in to the HPLHS, and I will say it now as I've said it many many times before "Worlds Greatest Soon To Be Wife". I live in the deep dark wood on the Florida/Alabama state line. And I guess that is about all for now.
But I would like to say that its great to know there is a group of wonderful folks like you all in this dimension
or any other.

Good Morning, Afternoon, or Evening (delete the appropriate ones)

My name's Tom, and I've been listening to the podcast since the first episode.  I'm an old YSDC member, and a fan of this podcast since episode one. It was finally after The Signalman that I felt I had to join. As one of the many people who wrote in praising it I knew it needed to be shared.

Now, what can I say about myself?  I'm a science fiction/horror/fantasy fan.  I'm a gamer, almost 40 years now. I work as a man who draws maps and maintains databases and am currently waiting on a copy of Children of the Stones so I can once again indulge in some Brit Sci-Fi. I'm sure I'm going to have a fun time here and I hope to get to know everybody over a good chat.

Cheers,
Tom
