So i just returned home from PAX East 2011 , of which I spent the entire Saturday board gaming and more specifically 7 hours playing 'Arkham Horror' with 'Dunwich horror expansion'. This and other Lovecraft myth inspired games are published by Fantasy Flights Games games. Well thanks to the great refresher course, that is the podcast, I could easily make some quick fun references during game play( within reason so as to not be a smarty-pants).
The point I was going to ask here was, and pardon me if this seems obvious, but would this gaming company be a good sponsor/advertiser for the show? I almost wanted to hand out cards for the show at the booth to folks who were perusing the Lovecraft based games etc. I kept thinking that would be a great 2 way street.

It's a shame that nobody has responded to this sooner (including myself...)

Fantasy Flight is a big game company; in addition to Arkham Horror and Mansions of Madness, they also have a well-supported Call of Cthulhu CCG. They also make a bajillion other non-Lovecraft games.

I can't really say what they'd think about a sponsorship - it really, really depends on our monthly numbers (something Chad and I have been working to calculate, in terms of pure MP3 downloads, for a few weeks now). Then, of course, the company's interest comes into play, what number of views they'd be impressed by, and if there are any policies against it (since their Lovecraft games are only possible through their license with Chaosium for the Call of Cthulhu name.)

I think it's worth looking into for us, though!

All I can say is that we've never managed FFG sponsorship and you'd think our shows might be a good audience for them to reach. Wink

What about sponsorship through Chaosium? I remember when the podcast has sponsorship briefly through Tor a little while back.
