The Double Shadow doesn't have a new ep this week, but Tim & I were reading HPL & CAS's letters, respectively, and came across a discussion they had about the history of Averoigne, which we're covering right now in the podcast. So we each read out the important points in the letters & put them up on the site. It's kind of fun to watch them world-building. Some stuff is clearly made-up and some may not be. Loved HPL's Theobaldis joke (sp, I'm tired, sorry). Tim cut out an additional 2 pages of reading on how much Lovecraft loved Rome and Romans.  Tongue

We weren't able to find the rest of the conversation, there may be a missing letter or two.

Pretty neat.

I should seek out Lovecraft's letters, especially if they read so much like his fiction.

They don't always, but it's rewarding to find the fun bits where he just launches into faux-histories.

I was not familiar with CAS before checking this out, leastways, I knew the name but none of the writings.  Thanks for opening that door.
