I posted this a looooooonnnng time ago, but it's a little over my one year anniversary of starting this blog. It's all drawings I've done of Lovecraftian creatures. My goal is to draw EVERY creature he ever describes (sticking to Lovecraft only so far) from Elder Things and and The Great Race (who are described in immense detail) to Vooniths and Wamps (who are only mentioned). Check it out and let me know what you think. http://yog-blogsoth.blogspot.com (Rated NSFW-13 for full-frontal monster nudity - Genus Unknown)

I think if I gaze upon the pages of that accursed site any longer, I shall lose what little sanity I still can cling to.
Great work!

I've been visiting your blog for months and I simply love your concepts. Your monster stuff is uberliciously awesome! I especially like your interpretations of the undescribed entities - while it's easy for the writer to leave his horror undescribed, the artist must find a way to draw it, preferably without sticking too close to already established ones. IMHO you have done a really great job at this, they still look like something old HPL would have imagined. Thumbs up for that! I'm not a fan of trying to depict the G.O.O.s themselves accurately, since they are meant to defy any human description, but I can live with yours, since they're really some of the better interpretations. Also, wow - the 1st anniversary? Way to go! I recently started a blog myself, but not sure if I can keep it up this long. Respect!

Great stuff!
I'll echo Lambda's sentiment; I like that the first few monsters I see are ones that are only very briefly mentioned. I especially like the Headless Moon-Calf and your rendition of a Deep One.

Terrific, in more than one way. I think people might actually finish Dream Quest if you illustrated it. I know I would.

Thanks so much guys!! I'm glad you all like it! I just posted maybe THE most obscure Lovecraftian creature...a guy named in the parenthesis of a revision story....the Yakith Lizard! I'm also always interested in obscure creatures I may have missed, so if you can think of any let me know! thanks again!

I want to see your take on the Living Sphinx from "Under the Pyramids." And maybe a couple of hybrid mummies.
Damn it, why didn't HPL write more ancient Egyptian stories?

Badass.
EDIT: Fun fact: apparently (according to Wikipedia) in modern Egyptian Arabic name for the Sphinx translates to "the terrifying one."
